Hill City’s Olde Tyme Christmas Lighted Parade is a yearly event that takes place on Main Street in downtown Hill City, South Dakota:
- Date: Friday, November 29, 2024 from 6–7 PM
- Location: Downtown Hill City
- What to expect: A parade, shopping, specials, and family-friendly activities
Hill City’s annual little hometown Olde Tyme Christmas Lighted Parade! Arrive early to stroll and shop the specials in Hill City’s beautifully decorated Main Street businesses! Enjoy cider and roasted chestnuts compliments of the Alpine Inn at 5:00 pm and get your viewing spot on Main Street for Hill City’s joyful parade.
Before the parade, bring the children to see see Santa and Mrs. Claus from 2p – 4p at the Hill City Center when they can whisper their fondest Christmas wishes to Santa and receive a traditional gift of an apple and a candy cane!
Other events that take place during Hill City’s Olde Tyme Christmas include:
- Kris Krigle Vendor Fair: November 29–30
- Snacks with Santa: 2–4 PM at the Hill City Center
- Trees & Trains Exhibit: At SD State Railroad Museum
- Holiday Express–1880 Train: 5 PM
- Roasted chestnuts and cider: Complimentary from the Alpine Inn at 5 PM
- Santa and Mrs. Claus: 2–4 PM at the Hill City Center
