October was a special month for our community as we celebrated Pastor Appreciation Month on 107.1 KSLT! This initiative aimed to honor and uplift the dedicated pastors who serve our congregations with unwavering faith and commitment.
Throughout the month, listeners were encouraged to participate in our promotion by sharing stories of their pastors’ impact. We received heartfelt messages highlighting the selflessness, guidance, and support these leaders provide. From inspiring sermons to community outreach, the stories showcased the vital role pastors play in nurturing our faith and fostering a sense of belonging.
Listeners also had the opportunity to nominate their favorite pastors for a chance to win a special appreciation gift. The response was overwhelming, with over 100 individual pastor nominations flooding in, reflecting the deep respect and love our community holds for these leaders. We chose a winner by random.
We are excited to announce the winners of our special prize pack:
Reverend Reginald Lewis and Pastor Johnetta Lewis from Open Bible Church in Sturgis, SD! Their prize includes a smokeless Solo Stove, s’mores, a cozy KSLT plush blanket, a care package with a tumbler and delicious snacks, and a decorative cross. The Lewis family has dedicated over 20 years to ministry and has positively impacted their community through various outreach programs. They have been married for over 27 years and are blessed with three children and four grandchildren. Congratulations to the Lewis family!
