Peter S. Lopez

The veteran I wish to honor is my husband of 45 years, Peter S. Lopez. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 21 years. He was a hospital and flight medic. He served in Operation Desert Storm stationed in England, providing medical care inflight between the Mid East, Europe and the United States. He has been to 28 countries assisting in providing medical care. He has returned to school (Liberty University) and earned his Master of Divinity in Community Chaplaincy and Pastoral Counseling. Currently, he works for the Rapid City Area Schools as a SPED paraeducator/ instructor at Knollwood Elem. School. There He works with kindergarten and first grade kids. – Elaine

Harry has such a heart of servitude filled with loving kindness in action. Always with a bright smile, words of encouragement as he moves about the halls of Monument Health, serving at the Rapid City, YMCA, volunteering and at his local church and so much more great things unsaid.
